Job Overview:
Iron Ridge Contracting is looking for an experienced Carpenter with a strong background in deck building to join our team. This position requires skilled craftsmanship and a deep understanding of deck construction, including framing, alternative framing techniques, and finish work. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, custom outdoor living spaces.
Key Responsibilities:

Build and install custom decks, including framing, decking, and railing systems.

Work with a variety of materials, including wood, composite decking, and alternative framing products.

Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.

Operate power tools and machinery safely and efficiently.

Install trim, fascia, stairs, and other finishing details with precision.

Ensure all work meets structural integrity and aesthetic standards.

Maintain a safe and organized worksite while adhering to company and OSHA safety regulations.

Troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site to keep projects running smoothly.

Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet deadlines.
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in carpentry with a focus on deck building.

Strong knowledge of framing, alternative framing techniques, and finishing work.

Proficiency with power tools, saws, drills, and other carpentry equipment.

Ability to read and execute blueprints and technical drawings.

Experience working with composite decking brands (preferred but not required).

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a commitment to quality.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (Required).
