Overview:

This Lincoln University, PA project transformed a basic backyard into a multi-level outdoor retreat, seamlessly blending a raised deck with a paver patio below for both relaxation and entertaining. The upper deck features multi-width Deckorators Khaya composite decking for a rich, custom look, complemented by a sleek RDI black aluminum railing. A discreet under-deck drainage system keeps the area beneath the deck dry and comfortable, allowing the ground-level paver patio—complete with a built-in fire pit—to serve as a second, all-weather entertaining area. A striking see-through fireplace anchors the design, casting warmth and glow onto both the deck and the patio, while recessed lighting throughout ensures the entire space is inviting and safe after dark.

Overview:

Darleen envisioned an outdoor space as inviting as her kitchen—a haven for gatherings and celebrations. We brought this vision to life with a spacious composite deck using TimberTech’s Costa decking, accented with a Dark Slate picture frame border. The addition of a black aluminum cocktail rail, integrated lighting, and a custom bar top created an ambiance perfect for entertaining. The ZipUP underdeck drainage system ensures the space remains dry and functional year-round.
